BIOGRAPHY
Schanel Bakkouche is a French Stylist and Fashion Consultant based between New York City and Paris. Formerly assistant to renowned stylist and fashion directors Marie-Amélie Sauvé and Camilla Nickerson, the trained Editor has a distinctive, detail- oriented, fresh aesthetic. Schanel got her start in the industry with an internship at French Vogue followed by one at the American Vogue in Paris. After her professional beginnings in Paris, Schanel moved to New York City to work as an assistant to Marie-Amelie Sauvé on fashion editorial photo shoots and on consultancy for Louis Vuitton. As a next step Schanel takes a position at Vogue America as an assistant to Camilla Nickerson where she works on editorial photo shoots and also on consultancy for brands such as Calvin Klein, Nike, Alexander McQueen and Sonia Rykiel. Two years later Schanel becomes Associate Editor at W Magazine working closely with its former Creative Director Edward Enninful, where she starts to style her own first stories for Condé Nast. Since then, Schanel has been working on a wide range of digital and print creative projects in the editorial and fashion fields for various publications and brands. She has also worked and collaborated on a variety of projects with top industry photographers, editors and creatives.
