The brand’s initial focus is marketing apparel to millennials as they become young urban professionals. For every UNIFORM purchase, a school uniform is donated to a child who otherwise could not attend school in the developing world. UNIFORM clothing is manufactured in Africa, by a network of factories focused on women’s employment and ethical manufacturing. During the company’s 45-day Kickstarter launch, it was featured in Forbes, Financial Times, Women’s Wear Daily, The Daily Beast, Fast Company and other leading publications.
