Carmen Carrera is a model, actor, advocate and one of the world’s highest profile transgender women. As a model, she has been photographed by David LaChapelle, Mark Seliger and Steven Meisel to name a few. As an actor she recently appeared on shows and films like HBO’s Outpost, Jane the Virgin, The Bold and the Beautiful and Ricki & The Flash with Meryl Streep. Off camera, Carmen is a dedicated international human rights and HIV prevention advocate. She has lectured at Princeton University and at LGBTQ conferences around the world, and works with organizations like CARE PLUS, AHF, H.U.E., and OutRight Intl. to fight discrimination against transpeople and specifically trans youth.
