Chris "MUG5" Maguire is a Welsh born, bi-coastal Generation X'er that has been creating for the web since dialup was launched. His introduction into programming and creativity with a computer began as early back as the ZX Spectrum 48K, where he would spend hours writing BEEP commands, crafting his first electronic music creations in the most rudimental way. Fast forward and Chris is now creating across all mediums, his only creative restriction being that he solely works in the digital realm. He might be seen directing a commercial one week, creative directing an app, print or UX design the next, recording, composing and producing a musical album, capturing, colorizing and retouching photos or films, or maybe even doing an original piece of artwork for his next art show. MUG5's original term to describe himself (and still apt) is Multimedia Futurist, showing a passion for all the mediums he crafts using - the five major being: film, music, design, photography and art. MUG5's favorite medium for digesting art is music and he is always looking to music for inspiration, thanks to his other love, his oldest website (launched in 2004) AltSounds.com. Having an eclectic and refined musical palette allows MUG5 to channel that into his original creations that are as diverse as the music that was playing over the speakers as it was being created. Forever a tastemaker, Chris has his finger on the pulse when it comes to music, film, style, fashion, design and upcoming trends - always being the first to rock a new look, and never afraid to be daring and bold in both his work and the way he represents himself.
