JACQUES DEQUEKER @jdequeker www.jacquesdequeker.com Jacques Dequeker, fashion photographer, audiovisual director and 3D artist, born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, based in São Paulo, considered the capital of fashion in Latin America, where he consolidated his career working with several customers and renowned brands for more than 20 years. Stands out for the look unique and elegant added to the lighting techniques that consecrated it. Since 2020 Jacques has also been dedicated to avatar creation and exploration of the digital world, bringing its unique vision of fashion to the metaverse, with its commitment to creating innovative images he is connecting with the public in a new way, taking fashion to the digital environment. EXPERIENCE Jacques is known for his innovative lighting techniques and for creating impactful and moving images that capture the beauty and elegance in every click. He has photographed some of the biggest names in fashion, including Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Paris Jackson, Marc Jacobs, Gigi Hadid, Jerry Hall, Georgia May Jagger, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Olivia Wild, Cara Dellavigne among others. In addition, he collaborated with several artists like Adam Levine, Matthew McConaughey, Rita Ora, Ben Harper, Iggy Azalea, Zac Efron, Joshua Balman, Fergie and Ashton Kutcher. Jacques' work has been published in the biggest fashion magazines in the world, including numerous covers for VOGUE, Marie Claire, Elle, GQ, Schon, Tatler, Twill and Playboy. Among the brands to which he has already lent his eye are: CHANEL, DIOR, LOUIS VUITTON, NIKE, BALMAIN, CARTIER, ROLEX, CAROLINA HERRERA, MARC JACOBS, BILLABONG, ABSOLUT VODKA, MARY KAY AND AVON. Dequeker has been honored with several national and international awards including the award for Best Photographer by the Brazilian Industry Association textiles in 2002, the award for best photography at the 8* Bienal Internacional de Art in Rome in 2010, Best Photography award for the short film “Polaroid Circus” at the 39th Gramado Film Festival in 2011 and the Best Fashion Film Director at the 1st International Fashion Film Awards in Los Angeles in 2014. More recently, he participated with his 3D creations in the fashion week of London, Art Basel in Miami and NFT Paris, some of the most important in the world of fashion and contemporary art. on these occasions exhibited his works and shared his photography expertise with others professionals and enthusiasts in the field. With its innovative approach and passion for art, Jacques has contributed to the evolution and growth of these events of international renown. In addition to his work as a photographer, Jacques is also recognized for using your influence to support important causes by collaborating with your photography in non-profit campaigns. He contributed his expertise to the project “Olhares Improváveis” dedicated to develop photography skills with disabled children and adults. He donated his shark photographs to Sea Shepherd, an organization international marine conservation organization that works around the world to protect and preserve ocean ecosystems and marine species through awareness campaigns, activism, monitoring and direct intervention in illegal fishing operations. He photographed numerous campaigns for Ampara Animal, a Brazilian organization who works to protect and care for animals that have been abandoned, abused or victims of abuse. By supporting these organizations, Jacques with his art continues to make a difference in society . 3 years ago he developed mixed digital arts, merging photography, 3D and artificial intelligence, creating a new way of photographing fashion and advertising campaigns and editorials, revolutionizing the industry again. In 2023 he had his work exhibited at the MIS (image and sound museum) `Dequeker from the past to the future` where he presented a summary of his work from the beginning in 2000 to the avatars created in 3D and artificial intelligence.
