Succumbing to the lure of fashion while maintaining the uncorrupted glance and corrosive spirit of the outsider: whatAstreet (the main project of Adriano Cisani) is the result of this electric and fruitful balance. The aim is to describe fashion as an ensemble of behaviours and a system of signs, highlighting it’s imperfect, ever-changing and human aspect, and not as the volatile and tempting perfection of unattainable glamour. Expressive snap shots and vivid pictures capture trends and tendencies, tics and quirks, laying them bare without neither judgment nor filters. The result is an expanding encyclopaedia of sociality and appearance: a freeze-frame depicting the depth and glowing variety of appearance itself. This is because fashion is a mirror of the times, but it is temporary by definition, therefore relative. The truth is the naked body: everything else is mere fiction. During the last year Adriano became owner, together with other 3 minds, of “thecomplainers”; an agency specialized in art direction, productions, digital PR and events. In the meantime he also collaborated like a contributor with Vogue Italia and he did also an internship with them focused on trends. He did many collaboration with brands as: N21, Patrizia Pepe, Gianvito Rossi, Elite Model intl and Tommy Hilfiger. He is use to publish on Vogue Italia, Vogue Japan, Vogue Brasil, Annadellorusso.com. Thanks to his Agency, his site, his social channels and the collaborations, Cisani is becoming known internationally.
